AP Credit on the AMCAS Application

Hi. How do you list the AP credit on the AMCAS application? Do you specify the year it was awarded? So, if you came to college with several AP courses do you list them under that instituition, and your academic year as freshman?

Do we have to list AP credits? I have one on my transcript, but couldn't care less if med schools know about it and would rather not bother with it. But i don't want AMCAS to have a fit when they get my transcript and it doesn't match.

Yes, AP credits have to be listed if you received institutional credit. You list the year as FR for all AP credits and under the institution where you received the most credit. Hope this helps!

hey. i just talked to my pre-med advisor about this very thing. you do have to list it under freshman year, but as far as the score goes, I don't know where to put it. cuz you can't put it under transcript grade since they won't use it to calculate your AMCAS GPA. My advisor told me to put the score in parantheses next to title of class, but I'm just going to leave the score out since there's no room for it anyways. what do ya guys think? bad idea?
